Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of KaiPCB, an AI-assisted PCB design service operated by NotchBio. By creating an account or using KaiPCB, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What KaiPCB does

KaiPCB lets you describe a board in plain language and works with you through requirements, a plan, your approval, and then generation of real KiCad files (schematic, routed PCB, 3D model, Gerbers, drill, BOM, and fabrication packages). It can also read, analyse, run checks on, and propose edits to KiCad files you upload. Kai is an AI assistant — its output is a starting point, not a substitute for professional engineering review.

3. Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be legally able to enter into this agreement.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use KaiPCB for unlawful purposes or to design hardware intended to cause harm.
• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes others’ rights.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service, its rate limits, or its infrastructure.
• Resell or redistribute the service except as expressly permitted.

5. Your content and ownership

You retain ownership of the designs, files, and content you provide and of the KiCad files KaiPCB generates for you. You grant NotchBio a limited licence to store and process that content solely to operate the service for you (including sending it to the AI and compute providers described in our Privacy Policy). We claim no ownership of your designs and do not use your private design content to train our own models.

6. AI output, accuracy, and engineering responsibility

AI-generated schematics, layouts, routing, BOMs, and analyses may contain errors or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all outputs — including ERC/DRC results, manufacturability, and component selection — before manufacturing or relying on them. KaiPCB does not guarantee that a design is fit for fabrication, safe, or compliant with any standard.

7. Plans, billing, and usage limits

KaiPCB offers Free, Pro, and Ultra plans with different chat and message limits. Paid plans are billed monthly through our payment processor. Upgrades take effect immediately and reset your usage allowance; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Usage counters reset each month. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

8. Service availability

We work to keep KaiPCB available and reliable but provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may change, and the service or its third-party dependencies may experience downtime. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NotchBio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from manufacturing or relying on designs produced or analysed with KaiPCB. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using KaiPCB and delete your account at any time from Account settings, which permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.

11. Changes and contact
